GMP+ FRA Certification Scheme
GMP+ Feed Responsibility Assured (FRA) soy is available from European Protein.
GMP+ FRA ensures responsible soy production practices, similar to other deforestation-free certifications or standards.
When you or your customers ask for deforestation-free soy, you can choose from the mutually acknowledged certifications, standards, or schemes listed below.
GMP+ FRA soy carries either the logo or/and the GMP+ FRA assured text on the label following the fermented feed.
All of our soy proteins can be purchased as GMP+ FRA. Visit the product overview here.

What are the requirements for GMP+ FRA?
Before achieving the GMP+ FRA certificate, a feed company must be GMP+ FSA certified, short for Feed Safety Assured. At European Protein, we have been GMP+ FSA assured since 2013. You can check the status of any feed producer at the GMP+ International Portal.
The GMP+ FRA builds on top of Feed Safety Assurance, requiring additional systems to handle certified and deforestation-free soy.
What is required from feed producers to obtain certification?
To become GMP+ FRA-certified, feed producers must document:
- Leadership and commitment to the GMP+ FRA scheme
- Traceability and verification of incoming soy
- Internal and external communication about GMP+ FRA

How to order Certified Deforestation-free Soy
Feel free to contact our sales team if you want to order or know more about Feed Responsibility Assured soy.
What’s the difference between conventional and certified GMP+ FRA soy?
GMP+ FRA soy can be traced back to deforestation-free soy farming. Though the exact shipment of soy does not necessarily have to be deforestation-free, the feed company supplying your soy will have to buy a certificate equivalent to the amount you ordered. There are different supply chain models which qualify as deforestation-free soy. If you want to know more about the models, visit https://www.gmpplus.org/feed-certification-scheme/scheme-documents/framework/f00/.
